According to Guide to Gay Northeast, "The all-black cast performs enthusiastically and the passion on screen seems real."
According to Manshots, "The film, however, does have many good points, not the least of which is Gene LeMar in his screen debut. He is the genie in question. In his two episodes, he appears as a construction worker and as a leather man.
